REFERENCE DESK

Library users who are looking for library materials for research purposes are advised to consult the librarian at the Reference Desk (Ground Floor). Users could have a discussion with the librarian to get some guidance on the information searching techniques that appropriate to the users needs. The librarian will identify the exact needs of the users before suggesting some information resources that could be used.


INFORMATION SKILL CLASS

Information Skill Class is a guidance program specifically on library services and facilities usage. The librarian will conduct the class on determined dates in every semester. The discussion topics will include materials searching technique through the library catalog (Web OPAC) and information searching through the online databases. By attending this class, users had a chance to practice the skill and knowledge with the guidance from the librarian. Relevant notes will be given to the users during the class. New students and academic staff are encouraged to attend the class. Senior students and academic staff could apply to attend the class.

INTER LIBRARY LOAN (ILL)

Interlibrary Loan Service is a service that allowed users to borrow library materials unavailable at KUiTTHO Library but available in other academic libraries. Reference materials that are allowed for borrowing through this service are books and journal’s article. The service is free of charge. The length of borrowing period is subject to the rules imposed by the lending library. Users are required to fill in the ILL Application Form. The form is available at the Service Counter. Users will be informed about the status of the application through e-mail, telephone and ILL Application Answer Form.
